Bohdan V. Biliavskyi (Molodyi)

Junior Sergeant Bohdan Bilyavskyi (call sign Molodyi) was killed on May 17, 2023, while repelling an enemy assault in the area of the village of Sacco and Vanzetti in the Donetsk region. The warrior was 25 years old. Bohdan was born and lived in Kyiv. He received secondary education. He worked as a courier. He was passionate about tattoos. He had many plans and dreams for his life. In 2016, he fought in the ATO in the Donbas. He participated in the battles for Debaltseve, for which he was awarded the Order of Courage of the III degree. In 2021, he got married, and the couple later raised a daughter and were expecting their second child during the full-scale invasion. In March 2022, Bohdan without hesitation returned to the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to defend his homeland. He joined the 30th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after Prince Kostiantyn Ostrozkyi. He was a squad commander - the commander of the observation squad's reconnaissance company. In May 2022, he received the award "For Exemplary Military Service" of the III degree. He took part in the defense of the Donetsk, Luhansk and Kharkiv regions. "Bohdan was a real man. As a group commander, he saved the guys from death," wrote the deceased warrior's wife Anastasia. "Bohdan was an example to follow, he always helped everyone. He was a beloved husband, the best father, a loving son, a faithful friend. The memory of Bohdan will live in our hearts forever," said the deceased's loved ones. The hero was buried at the Forest Cemetery in the capital. At home, his pregnant wife and daughter, who was not even 2 years old at the time of his death, were waiting for him.
