Bohdan V. Lishchynskyi (Zvier)

Born on June 22, 1992, in the village of Martinivka, Khmelnytskyi district, Khmelnytskyi region. Completed 9 grades of general education at the school in Myrjanivka, Khmelnytskyi district, and in 2010 graduated from the Chornoostrov Professional Agrarian Lyceum. Since 2010, he has been in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In 2010-2011, he served under contract in the 8th Separate Special Purpose Regiment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A0553, city of Khmelnytskyi). In 2011, he entered the Hetman Petro Sahaidachnyi National Army Academy (city of Lviv) in the faculty of airborne troops and reconnaissance. In 2012, due to the transfer of the faculty, he continued his studies at the Military Academy (city of Odesa). In 2015, he graduated from the faculty of highly mobile airborne troops and reconnaissance of the Military Academy (city of Odesa). Since 2015, he served as the commander of the reconnaissance platoon of the reconnaissance company of the 81st Separate Airborne Brigade of the Highly Mobile Airborne Troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit field post V4745, city of Druzhkivka, Donetsk region). Since 2015, he participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine. Call sign "Zver." On May 11, 2015, a reconnaissance group led by Lieutenant Lishchynskyi went on a combat mission to conduct reconnaissance in the area of responsibility of the battalion. During the execution of the combat mission, near the village of Vodiane in the Yasynuvata district of Donetsk region, the reconnaissance group of paratroopers encountered an enemy sabotage and reconnaissance group and engaged in battle. During the fight, Lieutenant Lishchynskyi was killed by a gunshot wound to the chest. On May 14, 2015, he was buried in the cemetery of the village of Martinivka, Khmelnytskyi district. On May 28, 2015, a memorial plaque was unveiled in the village of Myrjanivka, Khmelnytskyi district, on the facade of the building of the general education school (Chapaeva Street, 61A), where Bohdan Lishchynskyi studied. On April 29, 2016, by the decision of the 7th session of the Chornoostrov Village Council, Chervonoarmiiska Street in the urban-type settlement of Chornyi Ostriv, Khmelnytskyi district, was renamed Bohdan Lishchynskyi Street.
