Bohdan V. Todavchych (Teador)

27-year-old Bohdan Todavchych (call sign Teodor) was killed on May 4, 2022 near the city of Rubizhne, Luhansk region. During the performance of a combat mission, the defender came under enemy artillery fire. Bohdan was born in the city of Kramatorsk, Donetsk region. He obtained the profession of a turner at the Kramatorsk Higher Vocational School No. 14. In 2018, on his 24th birthday, he signed a contract for military service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In 2021, he enrolled in the Druzhkivka Professional College. In the fall of the same year, he went to Germany for military training. After the end of the contract, he wanted to go to work at a factory to acquire the specialty of a master. He loved to do everything with his own hands. He was fond of hunting. With the start of the full-scale war, Bohdan held the position of senior operator of the anti-tank platoon of the 122nd separate airmobile battalion of the 81st separate airmobile brigade. For the destroyed Russian tank, Teodor was awarded the Order of Bohdan Khmelnytsky of the III degree. However, a week later, the fighter was killed. "Bohdan is a man with a capital letter. He never left his friends in trouble. There were many dreams and plans for the future. On February 24, he woke me up with the words: "Wake up, the war has begun," helped arrange the basement in the house, and on February 25 he went together with his combat comrades straight to the military unit, leaving his monthly-old daughter at home. This was the last day I saw him. There are very few like him. I am proud that I was his wife," said his wife Valeria. The defender was buried in his native Kramatorsk. Bohdan is survived by his mother, wife, and little daughter.
