Bohdan V. Vasylchuk (Bosyi)

Senior Soldier Bohdan Vasylchuk (call sign Bosy) was killed on April 28, 2022, during a battle with the occupiers for Kharkiv. The defender left behind 30 years forever. Bohdan was born in the city of Kovel, Volyn region. He graduated as a carpenter from Kovel Professional and Technical School No. 5. He was interested in martial arts and searching for antiquities with a metal detector. He lived in the village of Sytovychy, Volyn region. During the full-scale Russian invasion, the man joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served as a grenade launcher in a motorized infantry battalion. "It's been a year since you're gone. It's been a year since my heart is torn apart. It's been a year since you said, 'Kitsya, don't worry, everything will be fine, we will beat that scum so that the children will be happy, and I will return home.' I know you can hear me. I miss you, I am struggling without you. My love, I believed that you would come back and see your second daughter and we would live well together, as we used to... Now you are watching over us from heaven... I loved and still love you. I always ask myself: why did I let you go? Why does this damned war destroy people's lives and fates?" - writes the fallen soldier's wife, Svetlana. The warrior was buried in the village of Sytovychy, Volyn region. At home, Bohdan was awaited by his mother, brother, wife, and two daughters. The second daughter was born after her father's death.
