Bohdan Yu. Zinchenko (Akhilles)

Junior Sergeant Bohdan Zinchenko (call sign Achilles) was killed on June 11, 2023, near the village of Robotyne in the Zaporizhia region. During assault operations, while rescuing a wounded comrade, he was blown up by an enemy mine. The warrior was forever 31 years old. Bohdan was originally from Cherkasy. Later, the family moved. Since 2003, he lived with his family in the village of Lazirky, Poltava region. After finishing school, he obtained the profession of a tractor operator-mechanic of a wide profile at the local SPTU-46. In 2010, he served his conscription military service in the tank troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. When he returned home, he got a job as a security guard. During the full-scale Russian invasion, in November 2022, the man was mobilized into the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 47th Separate Mechanized Brigade "Magura". "Bohdan was cheerful, sociable, the soul of the company. He always came to help. We miss him very much in our family. We will always love and remember him. For us, this is a very great and painful loss!" said the fighter's cousin Lilia Seniushkina. The defender was buried in the village of Lazirky in the Poltava region. Bohdan is survived by his mother, relatives, friends, and comrades-in-arms.
