- Senior soldier Boris Yaroshchuk was killed on January 14, 2023, while carrying out a combat mission near the city of Kreminna in the Luhansk region. The warrior was 39 years old. Boris was born in the village of Knyazhyky, Zhytomyr region. After finishing school, he served in the military unit 55238. After demobilization, he got married and lived with his family in Crimea. He worked as a crane operator. In 2014, the family left the peninsula. Later, the man went to war and participated in the ATO in Donbas. In March 2022, Boris took up arms again to defend his native country from the Russian invaders. He joined the ranks of the 95th separate airborne assault brigade, taking the position of a gunner in the security platoon of the battalion headquarters company. During his service, he was awarded the "Cross of Honor" distinction. Comrades-in-arms remember him as a reliable friend and a courageous warrior. For eight years of the war, Boris twice participated in combat operations of the ATO in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions. When the full-scale invasion began, he went to defend our country again. Boris was kind, reliable, sensitive, and fair. He loved to joke in a good-natured way. He loved life! He was a crane operator par excellence. He loved and knew how to work, deriving satisfaction from his work. He loved children and adored his daughter. The terrible news came on my birthday, and the ground slipped from under my feet. He said he was defending the Motherland for us and the bright future of Ukraine. He always believed in victory. He did not regret his decision to go to the front. He told us: "I am here so that you can rejoice in life," - said the wife of the fallen warrior. Boris was buried in his native village. He is survived by his wife, daughter, mother, brothers, and sisters.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
