- 34-year-old soldier Boris Marych was killed on November 10, 2022, in the area of Novopetrivka village in Mykolaiv region. While carrying out a combat mission, the fighter was traveling in a vehicle and was blown up by an enemy mine. The injuries were fatal. Boris was born in the village of Pniv in Ivano-Frankivsk region. He graduated from the Nadvirna Vocational College of the National Transport University. He worked as a driver at an asphalt plant. In the early days of the full-scale Russian invasion, he joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to protect his country and family. He served in the 63rd Separate Mechanized Brigade. He held the position of gunner. “He was friendly, sincere, sociable, and always helped everyone. A loving husband and father. To his comrades, he was an older brother. He loved Ukraine and wanted his son to live in a free country,” said the deceased's wife, Lyudmyla. “Balanced and prudent, responsible and cautious, he was an example for all of us! He was a good father and friend, who would always help, advise, and support. He was a person with a capital letter. A Christian, an athlete, a patriot. A friend who taught us to play football with heart, to carol with heart, and to love Ukraine with heart!” wrote the head of the Pasichna community, Andriy Hunda. The soldier was buried in his native village. At home, his parents, wife, and son were waiting for Boris. Posthumously, the fighter was awarded the Order of Courage III class.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
