- Danylo Skobalo (call sign Timi), a storm trooper, was killed on May 8, 2023 in battle with the enemy in the Bakhmut direction of Donetsk region. In June, the defender would have turned 27 years old. Danylo was born and lived in Lviv. He graduated from Lyceum No. 8. In 2013-2015, he studied at the Lviv Professional College of Hotel, Tourism and Restaurant Service, and obtained the profession of a cook-confectioner. After completing his studies, he held the position of head chef in local establishments, including "Atlas" and "DeLuxe". Later, he worked in the restaurant industry in Warsaw, Gdansk and Zakopane. He loved to cook, create recipes, and dreamed of his own food truck. He loved the mountains and traveling. With the start of the full-scale war, he returned to his homeland and joined the ranks of the defenders. Danylo served in the 3rd separate assault brigade. "Danik is the best person I've ever met. He always behaved with dignity. He was kind to people, always helped everyone, supported them. Danik was the soul of the company. He adored and fed animals. He dreamed of getting a dog after the war. When the full-scale invasion began, he was abroad. We didn't want him to return to Ukraine. He didn't listen to any of us and was at the military enlistment office as a volunteer on the second day of the war. He only told his mother: 'Be proud that you raised a man,'" his close friend Yulia said. The warrior was buried in the Lychakiv Cemetery in Lviv. Danylo is survived by his parents, grandmother and grandfather, brother with family, godson, nephews and nieces, aunts and uncles, friends and comrades-in-arms. Posthumously, soldier Danylo Skobalo was awarded the Order of Courage of the III degree. A memorial plaque was opened at Lviv School No. 8 in memory of the fallen graduate.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
