- Senior soldier Danylo Namys (call sign Malyi) was killed on September 7, 2023 near the settlement of Keramik in the Donetsk region. In the battle with the Russian occupiers, he covered his comrades, but he himself received fatal injuries. A month earlier, on August 4, the warrior turned 19 years old. Danylo was born in the city of Horodnia, Chernihiv region. In 2021, he graduated from Horodnia Lyceum No. 1, where he received a complete general secondary education. That same year, he entered the Chernihiv Vocational Railway Lyceum. He was interested in and played football and volleyball. During the full-scale war, in April 2023, the young man signed a contract with the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as he wanted to defend his country from the Russian occupiers. Danylo served in the ranks of the 1st separate Siverskyi tank brigade. He held the position of senior gunner of the anti-tank platoon. "He was a kind and bright person with big plans for the future. Danylo was not afraid at a young age to go to the front and defend his Homeland," said his beloved Viktoria. "Danya was a person with a big open heart, a courageous defender and a patriot of Ukraine. For many who knew him personally, he is an example of indomitability and strength of spirit. He wanted his relatives, close ones, friends and acquaintances to live in a beautiful, democratic, free and peaceful Ukraine. For his parents, he will forever remain the best son on earth, and for his friends - a faithful comrade," wrote his friend Maksym Stradomskyi. The young defender was buried in the "Pisky" cemetery in his hometown. Danylo is survived by his parents, sister, girlfriend, other relatives, friends and comrades.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
