Danylo O. Teslenko (Chornyi)

Soldier Danylo Teslenko (call sign Chornyi) was killed on October 21, 2022, while carrying out a combat mission in the area of the settlement of Spirne in the Donetsk region. The defender was forever 23 years old. Danylo was born and lived in the city of Druzhkivka, Donetsk region. He studied at the local school No. 7. Then he acquired the profession of a lathe operator-CNC machine operator at the Druzhkivka Vocational Lyceum. He continued his studies at the Educational and Scientific Vocational and Pedagogical Institute, managed to transfer to the 2nd year. He loved to play the guitar and was interested in the Chornobyl zone. The guy spent his entire conscious life at war. In 2017, he went on a contract military service to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He was a mechanic-driver in the reconnaissance company of the 54th separate mechanized brigade named after Hetman Ivan Mazepa. He took part in battles on the Svitlodarsk Arc, near the Butivka mine, Zolote-4, Volnovakha, Marinka. In 2019, he was awarded the Order of Courage of the III degree. Danylo met the full-scale invasion as part of his unit on the front line of the Donetsk region and continued to defend Ukraine from the invaders. "A lot can be written about Danya. He is an incredibly kind person with a great sense of humor, he could always listen and give good advice. This is a very big loss that I still can't believe, my heart is breaking with pain," said the warrior's beloved girlfriend. "Danya was the kindest person, sometimes even too kind, always positive, adored animals. He loved his work, was well versed in machines (BMPs), which some mechanics didn't even know about such details, and he understood everything by the sound and advised how to repair. He always helped and supported, loved to joke," added his friend Kyrylo. The young warrior was buried in his hometown. Danylo is survived by a younger brother, aunt, girlfriend, friends, and comrades-in-arms.
