Danylo S. Shevchuk

Paratrooper Danylo Shevchuk was killed on February 12, 2023, during the performance of a combat mission near the settlement of Bilohirivka in the Luhansk region. The warrior received fatal injuries during enemy artillery shelling. In January, the defender turned 22 years old. Danylo was born and lived in the city of Kostopil, Rivne region. In 2017, he graduated from the local secondary school No. 2. Then he decided to connect his life with the military and signed a contract with the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The young man was engaged in sports, loved life, and dreamed of living in a free country. At the time of the full-scale war, Danylo was a fighter of the 122nd battalion of the 81st separate airmobile brigade. He served in the fire support company. "Danylo was a good and friendly person," said the deceased's acquaintance Aliona. "Danylo Shevchuk, although he was young, was a true warrior: fearless and motivated. We deeply mourn and share the grief with the family of the fallen Hero! We share the sorrow and pain of the families who have lost their closest ones in the war. For some time, the fighter was considered missing. Only in March was the young warrior buried in his hometown. At home, Danylo was awaited by his mother Alina, brother Artem, and close friends.
