- 33-year-old senior soldier Denys Bilotserkivets (call sign Den) was killed on October 29, 2022 during a hostile assault on the positions of Ukrainian defenders near the village of Pavlivka in Donetsk region. Ukrainian warriors engaged in battle with the occupiers who had surrounded them. For some time, Denys was considered missing, but later it became known that he had was killed in that battle. Denys was born in the city of Bila Tserkva, Kyiv region. In 2007, he graduated from the Fastiv Center for Vocational Education, where he obtained the profession of a cook-confectioner. He served in the internal troops. During his service, he was repeatedly awarded certificates for conscientious performance of his duties. He loved fishing and traveling. From the first day of the full-scale invasion, Denys joined the ranks of the local territorial defense and began defending his hometown. And from the summer, he defended his native country as part of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 72nd Separate Mechanized Brigade named after the Black Zaporozhians. He was a rifleman-assistant grenadier. Together with his comrades-in-arms, he took part in battles for Bakhmut, Mayorsk, Horlivka and Pavlivka in the Donetsk region. "For the entire period, he was never at home. He always said that it was not yet time, that it was necessary to drive out the enemy. He promised that everything would be fine. The positions were repeatedly shelled, there were losses of personnel, injuries to comrades-in-arms, but he said he was a lucky one. There were cases when mines exploded literally a meter away from him, and he miraculously remained unscathed. It is impossible to describe the whole pain of the parents, the family. We miss him very much and love him. Denysok is our Angel with a big heart and incredibly blue eyes," said the sister of the fallen Vira. The warrior was buried in the Alley of Glory of the Sukhyi Yar cemetery in his hometown. Denys is survived by his parents, two sisters and two young sons.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
