Denys A. Pavlov (Viter)

Soldier Denys Pavlov (call sign Wind) was killed on June 20, 2023, from a shrapnel gunshot wound received during combat operations near the village of Brusivka in the Donetsk region. The warrior was forever 28 years old. Denys was born in the city of Kramatorsk, Donetsk region. He studied at school No. 17. Then he graduated from the local vocational school No. 47. He lived and worked in his hometown. He loved animals, especially dogs, very much. During the full-scale invasion, Denys fought for his native land in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 42nd separate mechanized brigade. He was a mechanic-driver of the reconnaissance platoon. He defended his native Donetsk region from the occupiers. "He cannot be taken from our memories. Cheerful, mischievous, trusting. He had received little from life, but he hoped to get everything," the father of the fallen said. "I loved my husband very much for his flaws, for his unrestrained energy, for the eyes with which he looked at me..." added Denys' wife. "Deniska was our neighbor... He was a calm, well-mannered, friendly guy, he grew up in a simple, good family," the neighbor noted. The serviceman was buried in the Alley of Glory of the Ivanivskyi cemetery near Kramatorsk. Denys is survived by his parents, sister, brothers, wife and daughter.
