Denys A. Radchenko

Junior Sergeant Denys Radchenko was killed on May 3, 2023, during enemy shelling in Kostiantynivka, Donetsk region. The defender was 26 years old. Denys was born in the village of Makariv, Kyiv region. He graduated from Makariv Gymnasium. He then obtained the profession of a dental technician at the Medical Professional College of the Bogomolets National Medical University. During the full-scale war, the man served in the 5th Separate Assault Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He held the position of a medical brother in the mobile dental office of the medical company. "Denys, together with his comrades-in-arms, was engaged in the evacuation of the wounded and the dead from the hottest spots in the Donetsk region. They provided first aid to the wounded, saving hundreds of lives under shelling. While engaged in the evacuation, the guys noticed that many of our military personnel complained of toothache, so they decided to organize one of the first mobile dental clinics on the war. It was in it that Denys was killed. He had many plans for this life, but the war changed everything..." wrote the deceased's loved ones. "We really miss Denys. He was responsible in his work, you could rely on him, he always lent a helping hand and never left anyone in trouble. He defended his native land from the enemy until his last breath," added the fallen's comrades-in-arms. The military was buried in his native village. Denys was the only son in the family. He left behind a large family, friends, and comrades-in-arms. Posthumously, Junior Sergeant Denys Radchenko was awarded the Order of Courage of the III degree.
