- The 24-year-old soldier Denys Hrynchuk (call sign Cook) killed in action in the morning of February 28, 2022, while performing a combat mission in the Dnipropetrovsk region. Denys was from the village of Bila Krynytsya in Chernivtsi Oblast. The Hrynchuk family had 7 children. The father early, so the mother raised all of them by herself. The boy graduated from the Storozhynets Lyceum. He lived with his family in Mukachevo, in Transcarpathia. He went to defend Ukraine in 2014, together with two brothers. The men took part in the ATO and then returned home. During the full-scale war, the three Hrynchuk brothers again took up the defense of Ukraine from the first days. Denys fought in the ranks of the 128th Separate Mountain Assault Zakarpattia Brigade. He served in reconnaissance. "Earth is a feather, brother! Heroes never die! We will avenge you! Glory to the nation! Death to any invaders," wrote his comrade Jupiter. "He will still be a hero. Heroes never die! Rest in peace, buddy... You will remain the dearest person in our hearts," noted Nadiya Stremynska. The defender was buried in his native village. Denys left behind his mother, brothers, sisters, wife, and young son. Posthumously, soldier Denys Hrynchuk was awarded the Order "For Courage" III degree.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
