Denys O. Obrizan (Skitlz)

19-year-old soldier Denys Obrizan (call sign Skittles) was killed on September 28, 2023, near the village of Klishchiyivka in the Donetsk region. In the battle with the occupiers, he received fatal shrapnel wounds. Denys was born in the village of Mykhailivka, Zaporizhia region. He graduated from the local school. Then he obtained the profession of an electrician at the higher vocational school of his native village. He loved to listen to music, dance and draw. When the full-scale war began, the guy was 17 years old, but despite this, he went to the front as a volunteer together with his older brother. In May 2022, he turned 18 years old, then he joined the ranks of the volunteer formation. Later, he joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and served in the 93rd Separate Mechanized Brigade "Kholodnyi Yar", where he held the position of a machine gunner. "He was a true hero of our country, who did not stop before danger and gave his life, defending the territorial integrity and independence of Ukraine," said the wife of the fallen Anastasia. The young warrior was buried in the Alley of Glory of the Kushuhum cemetery near Zaporizhia. Denys is survived by his mother, wife, brothers and sisters.
