  Killed in action on May 1, 2019, in a battle with an enemy sabotage and reconnaissance group near the village of Mykolaivka in the Volnovakha district of Donetsk region. Under heavy fire, Dmitry's body could not be evacuated from the battlefield, so he was considered missing until it became known that he had been picked up by militants and evacuated to their rear. Dmitry's body was handed over to the Ukrainian side on May 8.
