- Senior soldier Denys Boiarchuk (call sign Barista) was killed on August 7, 2024 in the Kursk region on the territory of the Russian Federation. During the clearing of the territory, he received a fatal gunshot wound in a firefight with the enemy. Exactly one month before that, on July 7, the warrior turned 37 years old. Denys was from the village of Borodianka, Kyiv region. He lived in the Lviv region. He graduated from Stryi Higher Vocational School No. 34, where he obtained the profession of a cook. He worked as a barista and loved his job very much. He was interested in everything related to coffee. In 2014, he first took up the defense of Ukraine as part of the 80th separate air assault brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, fought for the city of Shchastia in the Luhansk region. He was demobilized and continued to work as a barista in the city of Morshyn, where he lived with his family. He also organized children's birthdays with his wife, where Denys captured happy moments of life. He was interested in photography. After the ATO, he visited the "Franco Opir" rehabilitation camp every year. Denys believed that rehabilitation is one of the most important factors in the recovery of veterans. At the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the man returned to his native 80th brigade and went back to the front. He performed the duties of a UAV operator. He fought in the Mykolaiv and Donetsk regions. "Denys was life, he was interested in many things and did a lot. He built a house himself, even though he didn't know how and had never done it before, but he always looked for information on the Internet and studied how to do it right. He was stubborn, fair and full of plans for the life that Russia cut short. He was brave and did everything to protect us all. I will always be proud of him, because my brother is a Hero," his sister Zoriana said. Denys was buried on the Alley of Glory in the city of Morshyn. From the war, his mother Valentyna, sister Zoriana, wife Viktoriia, and daughters Kateryna and Yustyna were waiting for the defender.
