- Denys Stanislavovych Dmetretsky was born on April 27, 1992, in Khmelnytskyi region. In 2009, he graduated from Holoskivska secondary school. Since the beginning of the full-scale military invasion of the Russian Federation into the territory of Ukraine, Sergeant Denys Dmetretsky was constantly in the combat zone and diligently fulfilled his duties and assigned tasks. As part of a unit at the line between the villages of Solodke and Novomykhailivka in Donetsk region, Denys bravely and selflessly participated in fierce battles against superior enemy forces, reinforced with armored vehicles. He destroyed the enemy from a firing position, causing them to continuously retreat, suffering significant losses in personnel and equipment. During artillery shelling by the occupiers, Denys constantly supported his fellow servicemen, providing practical assistance in the evacuation of wounded servicemen of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine and the Armed Forces of Ukraine. On May 14, 2022, Sergeant Denys Dmetretsky was carrying out a combat mission in the area of Novomykhailivka in Donetsk region. In the morning, the Russian Federation launched another massive assault on the positions of Ukraine's defenders. While repelling the enemy's advance, Sergeant Denys Dmetretsky provided cover for his comrades during their movement to fallback positions and was killed as a result of a mine explosion. For personal courage and selfless actions demonstrated in defense of the state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, and loyalty to the military oath, Sergeant Denys Stanislavovych Dmetretsky was posthumously awarded the Order of "For Courage" of the III degree.Memory Book of the MIA System
