Denys S. Fitel

Paratrooper Denis Fitel was killed on February 7, 2023, while performing a combat mission near the village of Ivanivske in the Donetsk region. The warrior was forever 31 years old. Denis was born and lived in the city of Chervonograd, Lviv region. He studied at the local school No. 10. Later, he graduated from the Chervonograd Mining and Economic College and the National University "Lviv Polytechnic". Since 2011, he has been working as a miner at the "Vidrodzennya" mine. With the start of the full-scale war, Denis was mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He fought against the invaders as part of the 80th separate air assault brigade. He took part in battles in various directions and was killed in the fiercest one - during the battle for the city of Bakhmut. "Denis was an extraordinarily good person, a loving dad for our daughter Irinka, a son, a brother. Always with a sincere smile that is impossible to forget. For me, he was a great support, a very caring and loving husband," said the fighter's wife, Oksana. The defender was buried in the Alley of Glory of the Bendyuzky cemetery in his hometown. At home, Denis was awaited by his parents, brother, wife and daughter.
