Denys V. Blonskyi (Bul-bul)

Soldier Denis Blonsky (call sign Bull-bull) was killed on February 19, 2024, while performing his duties near the village of Mykolaivka in the Donetsk region. He sustained fatal injuries as a result of a direct hit by an enemy shell in the dugout. In two months, the warrior would have turned 30 years old. Denis was born in the village of Burtin, Khmilnytskyi region. He lived with his family in the village of Ilkivtsi. In 2012, he graduated from the Poninkivskyi vocational school, where he mastered the profession of a mason-plasterer. He worked at various part-time jobs. He spent his free time with his loved ones. In January 2023, the man was drafted into the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He joined the ranks of the 10th separate mountain assault brigade "Edelweiss". He held the position of a machine gunner. "Denis was the best father and loving husband, caring and positive. He always supported and was interested in life, despite being on the 'zero'. He was a faithful friend and comrade, always ready to help and support, even at the risk of his own life," his wife said. The military was buried in the Alley of Glory of the cemetery in the city of Polonne, Khmilnytskyi region. Denis is survived by his wife Maria and son Danylo, who was 7 years old at the time of his father's death.
