- The 26-year-old sergeant Denys Boltyan (call sign Nemir, Boltik, Dentsik) was killed in action on March 7, 2022, during the battles for the Kyiv region. During the assault on one of the settlements, the defender as a result of the enemy shelling nearby. Denys was born in the city of Nemirov, Vinnytsia region. He stu at the local lyceum No. 2. From childhood, he had a love for Ukraine, respected and was fascinated by the history of our land. He received the profession of a builder at the Nemirov College. Later, he entered the Kyiv National University of Construction and Architecture, but after the 1st year, he decided to go to war. The guy was a patriot from his youth, a member of the "Freedom" party and the organization "S14". Together with friends, he joined the ranks of the "Carpathian Sich" battalion and went to the front. In his free time, he was fond of drawing, sketching, photography. He loved to travel, was fond of cycling, rode long distances. He spoke exclusively in Ukrainian, without surzhyk and dialects, which was repeatedly noted by acquaintances and friends. From 2016 to 2019, Denys served in the 93rd Separate Mechanized Brigade. He participated in the ATO / JFO. In September 2020, he joined the 109th Battalion of the 10th Separate Mountain Assault Brigade. "I love my brother. It's hard to lose such bright people as my brother in these dark times," said his brother Ruslan. "My husband was a great patriot, participated in the Revolution of Dignity, fought in the East of Ukraine, always was on the front line and, most importantly, - knew what he was fighting for there. I thank God for giving me such a wonderful husband and a very good father! Now he has gone to the Heavenly Host...," wrote his wife Iryna. The defender was buried in the Alley of Heroes of the Ivano-Frankivsk city cemetery. Denys was survived by his brother Ruslan, wife Iryna, and daughter Mariika. Sergeant Denys Boltyan was posthumously awarded the Order "For Courage" III degree.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
