- 40-year-old serviceman Denys Kravchenko (call sign Dredd) was killed on October 4, 2022, in the hospital from injuries sustained the day before. During the performance of a combat mission near the settlement of Ternovi Pody in the Mykolaiv region, the car of the Ukrainian defenders was blown up on an enemy mine. Denys had his lower limbs torn off, and he also lost one eye. The defender was evacuated in time, but his heart stopped in the hospital. Denys was born and lived in Odesa. In 2014, he graduated from the Kyiv State Academy of Water Transport named after Petro Konashevych-Sahaidachny, specializing in "Navigation on sea routes". In recent years, he worked as a sailor on the ferry "Hermine". In his free time, he loved to cook. During the full-scale war, Denys served in the 801st separate unit for combating underwater sabotage forces and means of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He was the commander of a division of launchers and ground equipment for tactical missiles of the military unit. He had the rank of Chief Petty Officer. "You can't even imagine what kind of person he was. He was the best! The best man, the best father! He knew how to do everything as best as possible. And if he didn't know how, he would definitely learn," the widow of the fallen warrior said. The warrior was buried at the Western Cemetery in his native Odesa. Denys is survived by his wife Olena and son Yaroslav, who was only 4 months old at the time of his father's death.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
