Denys V. Kriukov

Senior soldier Denys Kriukov (call sign Dandi) died on August 20, 2024 in the Kyiv military hospital. On August 15, 2024, during the performance of a combat mission, he was seriously wounded in the village of Ruske Porichne, Sudzhansky district, Russia. The defender was 28 years old. Denys was born in the village of Vilkhuvatka, Kharkiv region. He graduated from school there. Then he studied at the Khust Technical College. Since 2011, he has lived in the village of Vilkhivka in Transcarpathia. In 2016-2018, he served in the military unit A3730. In civilian life, he worked at the Irshava plant, then went to Hungary for construction. He loved to travel and explore new cities. When the full-scale invasion began, the man returned home and began to defend his Homeland. Since March 18, 2022, he has served in the 704th regiment of radiation, chemical, and biological protection. He held the position of senior flamethrower of the flamethrower platoon of the flamethrower company of the flamethrower battalion. In 2023, he received certificates for high professional skills, responsibility and endurance, the award of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine "For Wounds", the medal "For Military Service to Ukraine" and the status of a participant in hostilities. "Denys was kind, reliable, sensitive, hardworking, never turned away and always came to help. He showed me what true love is. He is the whole universe for me. He always smiled like the sun," shared his wife Tetiana. The military was buried in the village of Vilkhivka in Transcarpathia. Denys is survived by his parents, younger brother and pregnant wife.
