Biography
Denis Volodymyrovych Pantus was born on August 7, 1990, in the village of Chernyakhiv, Zhytomyr district, Zhytomyr region. After graduating from the Chernyakhiv gymnasium, he stuwas killed at the Center for Vocational and Technical Education in Zhytomyr. He obtained the profession of an electrical fitter for repair and maintenance of electrical equipment and became a driver of motor vehicles. In 2008, he worked as a locksmith in the internal construction service of the Chernyakhiv gas management operation. From 2009 to 2010, he served in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine under conscription. In April 2013, he returned to military service and signed a contract with the 95th Separate Airborne Assault Brigade. He participated in the war in Eastern Ukraine. On July 30, 2014, while performing a combat mission near Donetsk, he was wounded and received treatment. In 2015, he was awarded the "Defender of the Fatherland" medal and the honorary medal "For Wounds in Battle." At the end of 2017, he was discharged to the reserve, but in 2021, he renewed his military service under contract. With the onset of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, he was on the front lines. He was killed on March 22, 2022, in the city of Kostiantynivka, Donetsk region, as a result of being hit by an enemy missile. The farewell ceremony for the fallen soldier took place on March 30, 2022, in the Chernyakhiv community. For personal courage and selfless actions demonstrated in the defense of the state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, and loyalty to the military oath, Denis Volodymyrovych Pantus was posthumously awarded the Order of "For Courage" of the III degree.Burial place
