Denys V. Polishchuk

28-year-old fighter Denys Polishchuk was killed on August 11, 2022, from a bullet of an enemy sniper while performing a combat mission in the area of the village of Oleksandrivka in the Kherson region. Denys was born in the village of Hlynsk, Vinnytsia region. He stu at a local comprehensive school. He was cheerful and sociable. He loved to do something with his own hands: build and repair. During the full-scale war, in April 2022, Denys was mobilized into the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 28th separate mechanized brigade named after the Knights of the Winter Campaign. "The death of Denys Polishchuk is an irreparable loss for relatives, friends, and the entire community. We bow our heads in memorial prayer and share the grief of the family. The bright memory and boundless gratitude for loyalty to Ukraine will forever remain in our hearts," the Kalynivska city council noted. "I remembered him as someone to look up to. I will always honor him," the brother of the deceased said. The defender was buried in his native village. Denys left behind his parents and brother.
