Denys V. Romanets (Dienia)

Serviceman Denys Romanets was killed on May 9, 2022, in battles with the occupiers near the city of Zolote in Luhansk region. During a shelling, the defender received a fatal shrapnel wound and explosive trauma. Exactly a week before his death, he turned 28 years old. Denys was born in the town of Radekhiv in Lviv region. He mastered the specialty of "Computer Science" at the National University "Lviv Polytechnic." He was engaged in his own business. During the full-scale war, he defended Ukraine in the ranks of the 24th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after King Daniel. He was a mechanic-driver. "My son was a true patriot of his country. From the first day of the full-scale war, he voluntarily took up the defense of the country. Just, kind, strong, cheerful, loving son, grandson, and brother. A real, brave man," said the mother of the fallen, Svitlana. The defender was buried in his hometown. Denys is survived by his mother, grandmother, sister, relatives, and close ones.
