- Soldier Dmytro Yurchenko (call sign Lisnik) was killed on July 14, 2023, while carrying out a combat mission near the village of Stepove in the Zaporizhia region. The warrior was forever 29 years old. Dmytro was born in the village of Dymerka, Chernihiv region. He studied at the local school. In 2020, he obtained a higher education at the National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine. In peacetime, he worked at the Kyivavtodor company. With the start of the full-scale Russian invasion, the man voluntarily went to the military enlistment office and joined the 2nd Department of the Chernihiv RTCK and SP. Later, he joined the ranks of the 116th Separate Mechanized Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. There, he took the position of a ATGM operator and went to war. "He is the brightest and most sincere person. God takes the best," said the deceased's acquaintance Alina Sarazhyn. "Dima was an example for many! A model of courage and bravery. On the first day of the full-scale invasion, without hesitation, he voluntarily went to the military enlistment office to defend the sovereignty of our state, to protect his family, his fellow villagers, each of us! At first, he defended the northern borders of the country, and later went through the hottest spots of this damned war, including Bakhmut. Faithful to the military oath, during the performance of a combat mission in the Zaporizhia direction, Dmytro was killed in battle with the occupiers," added the Kiptivska village council. The defender was buried in the village of Kipti, Chernihiv region. Dmytro is survived by his parents, two sisters, relatives, friends and comrades-in-arms.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
