Dmytro A. Drozhak (ZAMES)

Soldier Dmytro Drozhak (call sign Zames) was killed on April 10, 2024 in the area of the village of Serebrіanka in the Donetsk region. While carrying out a combat mission, he received fatal injuries during an enemy artillery bombardment. In exactly a month, the warrior would have turned 36 years old. Dmytro was born and lived in the city of Dnipro. He graduated from Vocational School No. 17 and obtained the profession of a welder. He worked at various enterprises and positions. He was fond of computer games and video games. With the start of the full-scale war, the man tried several times to get into the army, but due to health problems, the mobilization dragged on. Finally, in November 2022, he became a fighter of the National Guard of Ukraine. At first he served in military unit 3101, and then fought in the ranks of the 1st Presidential Brigade of Special Purpose named after Hetman Petro Doroshenko "Bureviy". "He was a brave, bright, sociable person, had many friends, was a loving, caring husband, son. Comrades-in-arms remember him as a reliable and faithful, optimistic and experienced comrade. Eternal memory and honor to my beloved hero," wrote the wife of the fallen. The National Guard soldier was buried in the Alley of Glory of the Krasnopilsky cemetery in his hometown. Dmytro is survived by his parents Nina Pavlivna and Anatoliy Mykolaiovych, and his wife Natalia.
