Dmytro A. Lokoman (Medyk)

Sergeant Dmytro Lokoman (call sign Medic) was killed on May 23, 2023, in a battle with the occupiers in the Kupiansk district of the Kharkiv region. The defender received a fatal explosive injury during enemy artillery shelling. The soldier was 22 years old. Dmytro was born in Marhanets, Dnipropetrovsk region. He lived in Kryvyi Rih from childhood. There he graduated from the 9th grade of Gymnasium No. 29. Then he studied at the Inhulets Vocational Lyceum, where he obtained the profession of a car mechanic and driver. He chose the profession according to his interests. So he later worked as a driver. In 2020, the young man was drafted into the regular military service. And later he decided to stay in the army and signed a contract with the 92nd separate mechanized brigade named after Koshovy Otaman Ivan Sirko. Dmytro held the position of driver-medic. During his service, the soldier was awarded the distinctions "For Service", "Participant of the ATO" and "Veteran of War", and posthumously - the Order of Courage of the III degree and the badge "For Merit to the City" of the III degree. "Sensitive, extremely responsible, gentle. He always came to help," said the mother of the fallen Svitlana. The hero was buried at the All-Brotherhood Cemetery in Kryvyi Rih. At home, Dmytro was awaited by his parents, sister, and a pregnant girlfriend.
