Dmytro A. Nefiodov

Junior Sergeant Dmytro Nefodov was killed on September 20, 2024 while carrying out a combat mission near the village of Pleshchiyivka in the Donetsk region. The defender was 37 years old. The warrior was born in the Odesa region. He had a secondary technical education. He worked as a driver at the motor pool of the Pivdennyi Sea Trade Port. During the full-scale invasion, he defended the country in the ranks of the 28th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after the Knights of the Winter Campaign. He held the position of gun commander of the 2nd self-propelled artillery platoon. He was awarded the "Veteran of War" badge and the Order of Courage III degree (posthumously). "Dima loved us very much, his family, and we loved him very much," wrote his wife Ilona. "He was a sensitive and open-hearted person, a good friend. It was very easy to communicate with him. A good father and a loving husband. Very kind and generous, without hesitation, he helped friends and even strangers, not expecting anything in return. I often remember how we rested together as families, and I miss those times very much," said a close family friend. The defender was buried in the town of Pivdenne, Odesa region. Dmytro is survived by his wife, son, brother, and parents.
