Dmytro A. Saichuk

Saychuk Dmytro Anatoliyovych was born on November 11, 1981 in the village of Letychivka, Uman district, Cherkasy region. He graduated from the Odesa Institute of Ground Forces, and later from the National Academy of Defense of Ukraine. He participated as part of a unit of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in a peacekeeping mission in Iraq. Later he served in the naval special operations center. With the start of the armed aggression on the eastern borders of Ukraine, he actively participated in combat operations in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions. In 2014, he participated in the assault on Donetsk Airport, after which he continued service in the ATO zone. He was killed on March 11, 2022 in a battle with the occupying forces near the town of Borodyanka, Kyiv region. He was buried in Kyiv on the Alley of Glory. He is survived by his wife and two children.
