Dmytro A. Soloviov (Solovei)

Senior Lieutenant Dmytro Solovyov (call sign Solovey) was killed on August 17, 2022 near the village of Krasnivka in the Kherson region. The officer came under enemy missile fire while carrying out a combat mission to cover the airspace of the region. He was 28 years old. Dmytro was born in the village of Sursʹko-Mykhaylivka, Dnipropetrovsk region. After school, he chose the path of a military man. He graduated from the Ivan Kozhedub Kharkiv National Air Force University. He loved speed, motorcycles, and cars. After graduation, the guy joined the 38th Anti-Aircraft Missile Regiment named after General-Ensign Yuriy Tyutyunnyk. From the first days of the full-scale Russian invasion, he defended Ukraine from the occupiers. "He was very kind and brave. He loved justice. He stood up for his people, family, and friends to the end," said his comrade-in-arms Anastasia. Dmytro is survived by his parents and younger brother.
