Dmytro D. Dzumedzei

Sergeant Dmytro Dzumedzeі (call sign Palamar) was killed on March 28, 2024, in the area of the village of Ternі in the Donetsk region. During the performance of a combat mission, he received fatal injuries as a result of enemy air strikes. Now the defender is forever 35 years old. Dmytro was born in the city of Kolomyia, Ivano-Frankivsk region. He studied at school No. 4. Then he mastered the profession of a cook-confectioner at vocational school No. 14. After graduation, he worked in Sheshory, in the restaurant "Arkan" - from there he was drafted into the regular military service. He underwent training at the Poltava Military Institute of Communications and in the 42nd Communications Brigade in Gostomel. Later, he worked in various jobs, including abroad. In 2009, he got married and raised two children with his beloved. In April 2022, the man was drafted into the Armed Forces of Ukraine. At first, he served in the 34th separate rifle battalion, holding the position of radio operator. He carried out combat missions in the Chernihiv region, participated in the battles for the city of Bakhmut. In June 2023, Dmytro was transferred to the 52nd separate rifle battalion of the 63rd Separate Mechanized Brigade. Since then, he has been fighting in the Avdiivka and Lyman directions, commanding a machine gun platoon of a rifle company. For conscientious service, the military was repeatedly awarded certificates. "Dmytro was a wonderful, kind and decent person. He was a wonderful comrade, always ready to help. He loved me and the children very much. He was honest, fair, sociable. He was not afraid of any work. He hurried to live, constantly striving for his family," the defender's wife Mariana said. The warrior was buried in the village of Hrushiv, Ivano-Frankivsk region. At home, his wife, daughter and son were waiting for him.
