Dmytro D. Skrypei

Soldier Dmytro Skrypei was killed on January 8, 2023, while performing a combat mission in the Soledar area in Donetsk region. The fighter was 26 years old. Dmytro Skrypei was born in the village of Perebykivtsi, Chernivtsi region. He stuwas killed at the local school. Then he obtained the profession of a cook-confectioner at a college in Kharkiv. He served in the military. When the Russian-Ukrainian war began, Dmytro participated in the ATO in Donbas as part of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. During the full-scale Russian invasion, Dmytro again went to defend Ukraine. He fought as part of the 4th separate tank brigade named after Hetman Ivan Vyhovsky. He was a mechanic-radio operator of the communications platoon of the rifle battalion. "May Dmytro rest in peace... He was our brother-in-arms... He was one of those who did not like to be dishonest, because he always exposed lies and injustice. Dmytro was always polite and attentive to his comrades-in-arms. We all respected him," wrote Vadym Kostiuk. "His words: 'Tell the people of Perebykivtsi to sleep peacefully, we are guarding your sleep here,' touched everyone's soul. Dmytro was open, kind, cheerful, and friendly. He loved his native village of Perebykivtsi and his fellow villagers," the Klishkovetska community wrote. "We remember Dimka as a cheerful, cheerful guy who was an active participant in various competitions and contests. He was only 26 years old. Everything was ahead. But this terrible, ruthless war took his life and his dreams. We bow our heads low before the brave warrior who gave his life for his native Ukraine and each of us! Eternal memory to you, Dimka!" the Perebykivska school said. The defender was buried in his native village. Dmytro is survived by his parents and sister.
