- Sergeant Dmytro Cheresniov (call sign Cherry) was killed on July 13, 2022, during a mortar shelling in the Kharkiv region. The defender was 51 years old. Dmytro was born and lived in Kyiv. He acquired the profession of a fuel equipment mechanic. He worked as a driver-bodyguard. When the full-scale Russian invasion began, the man joined the ranks of the 241st separate brigade of the territorial defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He was a driver. "Good, positive, honest, entertaining. Always stood up for the truth. He had many friends. He dreamed of living a peaceful and happy life, buying a big house and living in a big happy family," said the son of the deceased defender. "Godfather of my daughter Dmytro Cheresniov ! You went to defend your country with your older son! You were a professional driver. On July 13, 2022, they were evacuating the wounded from Kharkiv, came under mortar fire," wrote Dmytro's godmother Lyudmyla Bey. The serviceman was buried at the Southern Cemetery in Kyiv.
