Dmytro I. Cherniak

Soldier Dmytro Chorniak was killed in action on March 7, 2022, in a battle with Russian occupiers during the defense of Kyiv region. The fighter received fatal injuries near the village of Dmytrivka. The defender was 38 years old. Dmytro was born in Kharkiv. He graduated from the Kharkiv National Automobile and Road University. He worked as a designer, was engaged in the manufacture of cabinet furniture. In his free time, he loved to travel and fish. He was fond of tattoos. During the full-scale Russian invasion, Dmytro fought for his native country as part of the 14th separate mechanized brigade named after Prince Roman. "Our only son was a bright person, a volunteer went to defend his native mother Ukraine, before the last battle said: 'Angels do not die', and went to death. Angels will forever remain with us!", said the mother of the fallen warrior Olena. The defender was buried on the Alley of Glory in his hometown. Dmytro left behind his parents, son, daughter, and grandmother. Posthumously, soldier Dmytro Chorniak was awarded the Order "For Courage" of the III degree.
