- Born on October 22, 1978, in the village of Shepit, Putyla district, Chernivtsi region. Completed 9 grades of the general education school in the village of Shepit and graduated from the Stavchany Vocational Technical School No. 21 in the village of Stavchany, Khotyn district, Chernivtsi region (now Stavchany Professional Lyceum) with a specialty in "cook." In the late 1990s, he served his mandatory military service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the communications troops. After the army, he served under contract in the border troops of Ukraine. After the contract ended, he went to Italy for work. Since 2010, he studied at the correspondence department of the Bukovinian State Financial and Economic University. Until October 2010, he worked as the chief accountant at the Shepit Village Council in Putyla district, Chernivtsi region. From October 31, 2010, to October 25, 2015, he was the head of the Shepit Village Council. In the winter of 2013-2014, during the Revolution of Dignity, he engaged in volunteer activities, bringing clothes and food to Maidan. In July 2015, he was mobilized as a volunteer into the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 58th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit V0425, cities of Sumy/Konotop/Hlukhiv, Sumy region). Since November 2015, he participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine. On January 14, 2016, soldier Horban died in a military hospital in the city of Kramatorsk, Donetsk region, from heart failure (cardiovascular disease), which developed against the background of pneumonia. On January 16, 2016, he was buried in the cemetery of the village of Shepit, Putyla district, Chernivtsi region.Book of Remembrance for Ukraine - Ukrainian memorial
