Dmytro I. Serheiev (Mars)

Dmytro Ihorovych Serhiyev was born on July 20, 1981, in Kyiv. In 2020, he graduated from the Department of Military Training at the National Defense University of Ukraine, specializing in "The use of mechanized units." He held the position of platoon commander in the 130th Battalion of the 112th Separate Territorial Defense Brigade. He was killed on March 23, 2022, in Irpin, Kyiv region. That day, seven Ukrainian defenders at an observation post in Irpin were monitoring the road from Bucha to prevent the occupiers from advancing further. During the reloading of grenade launchers, a shot from an enemy tank cut short the life of Dmytro Serhiyev, and his comrades were injured. The hero was buried at the Southern Cemetery in Kyiv.
