Dmytro I. Verbinskyi

A 35-year-old marine, Dmytro Verbynskyi, killed in action on March 2, 2022, during the defense of the Zaporizhzhia region. While carrying out a combat mission in the city of Vasylivka, the fighter received a fatal chest wound. This happened on his son's birthday. The boy turned 9 years old. Dmytro was born in Kharkiv. He graduated from the Kharkiv Professional Lyceum of Sewing and Fur Production. He worked as a high-altitude worker in construction. In his free time, he loved to cook. In 2014, he went to the war to help Ukrainian defenders build trenches. And after a year, he decided to join the Armed Forces of Ukraine himself. Then he signed his first contract. He participated in the ATO / OOS in Donetsk and Luhansk regions. During the full-scale Russian invasion, the man served in the 137th Separate Marine Battalion. "The man loved Kharkiv very much. He loved to rest in nature with his family. He was a true patriot of his country," said the widow of the deceased, Olga. The defender was buried in the city of Bohodukhiv in Kharkiv region. At home, Dmytro was awaited by his wife and son. Posthumously, Seaman Dmytro Verbynskyi was awarded the Order "For Courage" III degree.
