- 35-year-old soldier Dmytro Huzovskyi (call sign Grinch) was killed on June 13, 2023 while carrying out a combat mission near the settlement of Bilohorivka in the Luhansk region. Dmytro was from the city of Netishyn in the Khmilnytskyi region. He graduated from Netishyn Lyceum No. 1. He obtained higher education at the Lviv Commercial Academy, where he studied at the Faculty of Commodity Science and Commerce. After receiving his diploma, he remained living in Lviv. He worked as a department manager at the Metro store. After the full-scale invasion, the man could not remain on the sidelines and joined the territorial defense forces. Later, he joined the airborne assault troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the anti-tank section of the fire support platoon of the airborne battalion of the 81st separate airborne brigade. Together with his comrades-in-arms, he defended the Luhansk region, bravely carrying out combat missions. He never complained to his relatives that it was difficult for him. On the contrary, he assured them that everything would be fine. Despite the military routine, the man preserved kindness and light in himself, supporting his comrades and rescuing animals that found themselves in the war zone. "Dmytro was a wonderful person, bright and kind. This goodness attracted him to himself. Always positive, even though it was very difficult for him. He collected all the fluffy ones in the dugouts, not a single kitten trusted him with her babies. A worthy son, a loving husband and father," said his sister Yana Huzovska. The hero was buried in the Alley of Glory of the city cemetery in Netishyn. His parents, sister, wife and son were left without their closest person.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
