Dmytro M. Havrylyshen

Soldier Dmytro Havyrylyshyn was killed on August 18, 2022, while performing a combat mission in the Mykolaiv region. During the storming of enemy positions near the village of Lyubomyrivka, the warrior's life was cut short by artillery shelling. The defender remained forever 31 years old. Dmytro was born in the village of Dzhuryn, Vinnytsia region. He graduated from the Vinnytsia Cooperative Institute with a degree in "Commodity Research in Customs Affairs". He worked at an enterprise that produces children's food products. He took part in the ATO in Donbas. He loved to travel, always tried to develop. He adored reading the works of Ukrainian poets and writers, his favorite author was Taras Shevchenko. During the full-scale war, the man was a gunner of the 59th separate motorized infantry brigade named after Yakov Handziuk. "After the ATO, Dima hated the occupiers and their language so much that he categorically refused everything that mentioned Russians. Even songs in Russian performed by Ukrainian artists, he hated. Dima was a true patriot and hero of his Ukraine. On February 24, 2022, when the occupying forces carried out a full-scale invasion, when everyone was in a panic, shock and everyone was running to ATMs, grabbing everything from supermarket shelves, Dima went to the first bus from Vinnytsia to Shargorod, where he was on military registration. Almost from the first days of the damned war, Dima was at zero. He was a faithful son of his country, an example of kindness and justice. You will forever remain in our hearts, Brother, good, smiling, life-loving, fair, and the occupiers, as you said, will always be on our "must", - said the deceased's brother. The defender was buried in his native village. Dmytro left behind his mother Nadiya, brother Viktor and sister Oksana.
