- Senior Sergeant Dmytro Kroshney (call sign Tanchyk) was killed on February 5, 2024, after returning from the combat zone to the unit's location. When the defender was on duty, he suffered a massive heart attack. The warrior was 50 years old. Dmytro was born in the village of Sukil, Ivano-Frankivsk region. After graduating from Kozakivska secondary school, he received the profession of paramedic-veterinarian at the Rudkivskyi Veterinary College. His last place of work was the Vyhoda Timber Mill. He defended the country during the Anti-Terrorist Operation (ATO) / Joint Forces Operation (JFO). He took part in the liberation of Lysychansk in the Luhansk region, Marinka, and other cities in the Donetsk region. During the full-scale war, he held the position of squad commander of the 204th Artillery Battery of the 44th Separate Artillery Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He defended the Kyiv, Kherson, Zaporizhzhia, and Donetsk regions. He was repeatedly awarded diplomas and awards for impeccable service. "He was a kind and faithful husband, a loving father and grandfather, a good brother. He loved and respected his parents, constantly helped them. A faithful comrade-in-arms, a patriot and a worthy son of his people. Above all, he loved Ukraine," said the wife of the fallen. The defender was buried in the city of Dolyna, Ivano-Frankivsk region. Dmytro is survived by his wife, children, and grandson.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
