- Sergeant Dmytro Lovar (call sign Beard) was killed on October 31, 2023, while repelling an attack by an enemy sabotage and reconnaissance group in the village of Leonivka, Chernihiv region. The warrior was 51 years old. Dmytro was born in the city of Kirovohrad (now Kropyvnytskyi). Later, the family moved to Chernihiv. There he graduated from high school and entered the Chernihiv Polytechnic Institute. But he never received a higher education, as he was drafted into the military service. In civilian life, he worked as an engineer for the installation of fireplaces. He loved fishing. During the full-scale invasion, he served in the ranks of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. For his service, the warrior was awarded a number of awards, including the "Badge of Honor," the award of the commander of the 8th Special Operations Regiment, the award of the Special Purpose Battalion named after General Kulchytskyi, and the Medal "For the Defense of Chernihiv" (posthumously). The defender was buried in the "Yatsevo" cemetery in the city of Chernihiv. Dmytro is survived by his father, wife, son, daughter, and brother.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
