- Lieutenant Junior Grade Dmytro Lysenko (call sign Fox) was killed on June 28, 2023, in the area of the village of Makarivka in the Donetsk region. While on a combat mission, the enemy began a tank bombardment. The officer received fatal injuries. In 2 months, he would have turned 30 years old. Dmytro was born in Lysychansk, Luhansk region. He graduated from the Ukrainian State University of Railway Transport in Kharkiv. His first degree was in engineering, and his second was in RoR development, an IT specialist. He worked at the company "Gotoinc". He lived in Kharkiv. He was passionate about motorcycles and traveling. He adored animals. During the full-scale Russian invasion, Dmytro stood to defend his native country from the occupiers. He served in the 128th separate brigade of the territorial defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He was the commander of a reconnaissance platoon. During his service, the officer was repeatedly awarded, including the medals "Defender of the Fatherland", "For Military Service to Ukraine", "Golden Cross", and "For Steadfastness of Spirit". "Dmytro was the brightest, kindest person with a big heart! Always ready to help, give advice, always smiling. He was a Hero, a courageous warrior, a commander, a true friend," said the warrior's sister Oleksandra. "I know for sure who I will tell my children about. Unfortunately, in Lysychansk, you can count the real Heroes on your fingers. And you are one of them! You are and will be. For me, this is one of the most painful losses during this time. Let's remember at what cost... Now I will miss even your videos," wrote his friend Kristina Mykhailovska. "Rest in peace, Brother! I will do everything possible to fulfill our plans with you. Glory to Ukraine," added his comrade Ivan Shibkov. The scout was buried in cemetery No. 18 in Kharkiv. Dmytro is survived by his parents, sister, and fiancée.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
