- Senior Sergeant Dmytro Sviderko (call sign Rama) was killed on October 6, 2022 in battle with Russian invaders near the village of Davydiv Brid in the Kherson region. In two months, the defender would have turned 43 years old. Dmytro was born in Ust-Kut (Russia). From a young age, he lived with his family in the village of Vasylivka, Mykolaiv region. He graduated from Snihuriv Vocational School No. 34 and obtained the profession of excavator operator. For many years he worked in the field of the Ingulets River channel management. He loved to travel and spend time with his family. He had a talent for repairs - he fixed everything in the house and did it himself or with his father-in-law. When the full-scale war began, the man evacuated his family to the Cherkasy region. After making sure that his relatives were safe, he returned home and went to the military enlistment office. For some time he served at the Territorial Recruitment and Social Support Center, holding the position of rifleman-medic in the guard company. When that part of the Mykolaiv region came under Russian occupation, Dmytro continued to serve under the command of the Bashtanka Territorial Recruitment and Social Support Center and the Military Commissariat of the Mykolaiv region. And later he was sent to the 57th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He took the position of senior sergeant of the mechanized company of the 34th Separate Motorized Infantry Battalion and went to the front line. "My husband was a true patriot of Ukraine. When he agreed to go to the 'zero', he said that he could not do otherwise. He doesn't want to leave this war to his son... He said that his duty is to protect the future generation. And mine is to be a reliable rear for him. Dima knew many Ukrainian poems and songs by heart, he was very sociable, an optimist, the soul of the company. And for the family - a fortress... Dima loved us all, but loved Ukraine the most!" said Anna Sviderko. Dmytro was buried in Bashtanka, Mykolaiv region. His mother, wife and son did not wait for their defender to return from the war. The warrior was posthumously awarded the Order of Courage of the III degree.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
