Dmytro O. Drobotenko

41-year-old soldier Dmytro Drobotenko was killed on July 11, 2022 near the settlement of Bohorodychne in the Donetsk region. While carrying out a combat mission, the defender received a shrapnel wound incompatible with life. The fighter was born in the city of Kryvyi Rih, Dnipropetrovsk region. After finishing school, he worked as a driver. Dmytro defended Ukraine from the invaders in 2014 during the ATO. With the start of the full-scale war, he unhesitatingly joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He joined the 80th separate airborne assault brigade. "Dad was very cheerful, loved life, he had a lot of plans for the future. When the summons came, he said without hesitation that he had someone to protect," his daughter Oleksandra said. Dmytro was buried in the "Vsebratske" cemetery in his native city. The warrior is survived by his wife, daughter, son, and parents. The defender was posthumously awarded the badge "For Merit to the City" of the III degree and the Order "For Courage" of the III degree.
