Dmytro O. Lehkoshkur

Sergeant Dmytro Lehkoshkur was killed on May 13, 2024, near the village of Urozhaine in the Donetsk region. While performing a combat mission, the warrior received injuries incompatible with life. The defender was forever 26 years old. Dmytro was born in the village of Khorosheve, Dnipropetrovsk region. He studied at the Khoroschiv secondary school. After completing 9 grades, he entered the College of Electrification and Automation of Agriculture, where he obtained the qualification of an electrical technician. In 2016, he began working at the Pershotravenske mine management of the Stepova mine. From childhood, he loved fishing. Before the great war, he became interested in beekeeping. During the full-scale invasion, he joined the defense of the Motherland as part of the 12th separate battalion of the National Guard of Ukraine. He held the position of commander of the 2nd platoon of the 2nd rifle company of the 3rd rifle battalion. "My beloved was a bright and sincere person. For me, he was a whole world. My support and mainstay. It was calm and easy with him. We always supported each other, eagerly awaited meetings, which were rare and passed as if in one day. Together with my husband, we dreamed of a peaceful life, about children. He was so happy when he found out about the pregnancy. But he never got to see the firstborn... It's very difficult to realize that my beloved is no more," said his wife Natalia. The defender was buried in his native village. Dmytro is survived by his parents, sister, and wife, who was pregnant at the time of his death.
