Dmytro P. Kernytskyi

Junior Sergeant Dmytro Kerynitskyi was killed on October 29, 2022, in a battle with the occupiers near the village of Yakovlivka in Donetsk region. The warrior's life was cut short by an enemy tank shelling. On October 7, the defender turned 34 years old. Dmytro was originally from the village of Kunysivtsi in Ivano-Frankivsk region. He lived in the city of Horodenka. After school, he graduated from the Horodenka Vocational Technical School. He worked abroad. He was passionate about history and geography. He loved to travel. During the full-scale Russian invasion, Dmytro joined the ranks of the 10th Separate Mountain Assault Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. "Dima is conscientious, honest. He always tried to help people. The best are dying — this is truly about him," said the mother of the fallen, Halyna. "A friend, brother, classmate, just an acquaintance and a good person. We are grateful for the courage of the hero of Ukraine. Great sorrow envelops our hearts. May the soul of the fallen find eternal peace, and may the Lord accept him where the righteous rest!" noted the villagers of the fallen. The serviceman was buried at the Glory Alley of the Horodenka cemetery. Dmytro is survived by his mother and brother.
