Dmytro P. Khotynskyi

Soldier Dmytro Khotynsky was killed on February 17, 2023 in battle with the occupiers near the city of Bakhmut in the Donetsk region. The warrior was forever 36 years old. Dmytro was born and lived in the city of Pervomaisky, Kharkiv region. He studied at school No. 7. Then he graduated with a red diploma from the local vocational lyceum, where he obtained the profession of a bricklayer, a steel and reinforced concrete structure installer, and a manual arc welder. He worked in his profession, was a bricklayer. He had a talent for repair, could fix anything. In his free time, he loved to fish with friends and relax with his family. He adored singing. He loved flowers and loved to give them away. During the full-scale war, on March 18, 2022, Dmytro took up the defense of his native country, joining the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 17th motorized rifle battalion, holding the position of a rifleman-grenade launcher assistant. He defended the Bakhmut direction. In February 2023, their company was transferred to the 93rd separate mechanized brigade "Kholodny Yar". There, the man took the position of a grenade launcher. "I still haven't learned to live without the dearest person. I miss him so much, just sorrow and pain... My beloved was an extraordinarily direct and sincere person, openly expressed his position and firmly defended it. Dmytro was purposeful, persistent, and brave. He hurried to live, to create all the conditions for the comfortable life of his family. He was a reliable support, that protection that every woman dreams of. Dmytro was a good master, able to do everything. At his 36 years, he had many plans and dreams for the future, just to live and live... The cursed war. My husband went to protect us so that we would have a future. A loving family man, kind, tender... My soul and the universe... He has always lived, lives and will live in our hearts. My sunshine will forever remain my Hero, who loved me like no one else," the widow said. The defender was buried in his native Pervomaisky. At home, his wife, two sons, sister and nephews were waiting for their protector.
